Today is Malala Day

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon declared today, November 10, "Malala Day" to honor the Pakistani heroine who survived being shot by the Taliban. He called her a "global symbol" of girls' right to an education. "Education is a fundamental human right. It is a pathway to development, tolerance and global citizenship."
