Can weave really kill you? One can probably think of several ways in which hair extension tracks might be used to strangle, choke, or maim someone. [Just kidding on the maiming.]
However, does the glue really seep into your blood stream and kill you?
[Are these just the rants of a crazy lady with a tin foil cap on her hair trying to prevent the aliens from reading her brain?]
Apparently not.
Atasha Graham, age 34, died in England of what appears to be an allergic reaction to the glue that was used to secure her weave in place. After a night of dancing, she collapsed as the sweat caused the seepage that led to the deadly allergic reaction.
Is this rare?
Somewhat. Dr. Michael Heath, a pathologist, says that, "There are about 10 to 20 deaths a year in this country [England], many more in America. I have seen four in the last three months."
