The Richest Person Who Ever Lived Was a Black Man

Celebrity Net Worth recently compiled a list of the richest people who've ever lived, adjusting for inflation to 2012 dollars. There were the usual suspects: John D. Rockefeller (#3), Andrew Carnegie (#4), Henry Ford (#9), Bill Gates (#12), and Warren Buffet (#25). 

But many were surprised that number one was none other than Mansa Musa I, West African ruler who ruled from 1312 through 1337. His net worth is over $400 billion. His empire produced more than half of the salt and gold resources in the world. That's right. The world. And some geniuses still think Africans were naked and starving until Europeans got there and improved everything. Sigh.
